1. Plan payments are final
Every Domaining plan is a monthly or yearly subscription, paid in advance, that gives you the expired domain scanner, value scores, backorder rules, appraisals, listings, parking, API requests and seats in the amounts shown on the pricing page. The fee is for the period, and the period is open in full from its first day. It does not depend on how many drops you catch or how many names you watch.
By subscribing you ask us to start the service at once and accept that any statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period ends once it has begun.
2. Name prices are not plan fees
Registration fees for caught names, closing bids in member auctions and marketplace prices are the price of a name, not a fee for the service. They follow the backorder, auction and escrow rules in our terms of service, including the return of escrow funds to a buyer when a transfer cannot be completed. That mechanism is not changed by this policy.
3. What is not refunded
- A change of strategy, a smaller portfolio, or no longer needing the tools.
- Few or no backorders, rules or appraisals used during a paid period.
- A backorder that did not succeed because the owner renewed, the registry held the name or another party registered it first. An unsuccessful backorder already costs nothing beyond your plan.
- A value score or appraisal you disagree with. Scores are estimates to support your own judgement.
- A renewal you meant to cancel, or a cancellation made just after one.
- A renewal collected after earlier card attempts failed (section 5).
- Thinking the plan was a one-time payment. Plans renew, as the pricing page, checkout and confirmation email say.
- Picking the wrong plan or billing term.
- A feature you expected that the pricing page does not describe.
- The rest of a period after cancelling. Your plan stays active to the end of the paid period and is not pro-rated.
- Use of your account by anyone you shared your login with.
4. The three exceptions
- Charged twice. A billing error on our side took two payments for the same period.
- Unauthorised charge, with evidence. Your card was used without your consent, you report it within 14 days of the charge, and the records kept by us and by our payment operator confirm it. We may ask you to show that you have told your card issuer.
- Complete outage. A confirmed fault on our side made Domaining entirely unusable for a continuous period, you reported it while it lasted, and we could not restore it. A slow scan, a single missed drop and problems with your own browser or network do not count.
A refund under this section is limited to the plan fee paid for the affected period, goes back to the original card only, and is our whole liability for that charge. One refund does not create a right to another.
5. Renewals, retries and cancelling
Plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account, and your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Cancelling stops every later renewal straight away and does not reverse a payment already taken.
When a new period starts, access for all of it is in place and its fee is due. If the card is declined, the fee is still due and our payment operator retries it over the next days. A retry collects the same invoice and is not an extra charge. Cancelling during the retries switches off later renewals, but the current period stays payable and is not refunded once collected. Cancel before the renewal date in your account to avoid the next period.
6. How to ask
Email [email protected] from the address on your account within 14 days of the charge, giving the date, the amount and the exception that applies. Requests from another address or after 14 days are not considered, and declined requests are not reopened.
Starting a chargeback without contacting us first breaches our terms of service and leads to permanent closure of the account.
7. Records we keep
Creating an account means accepting our terms of service, which include this policy and our privacy policy. Before payment the checkout states the plan, the price, the billing period and automatic renewal, and the confirmation email repeats them.
For each subscription we keep the purchase time, the plan and price shown, your acceptance of the terms, the emails we sent, renewal notices and the account log (sign-ins, watchlists, rules, backorders placed, appraisals and listings, with technical details recorded alongside). Our payment operator keeps its own transaction record, including the card's country of issue, the origin of the payment and the result of bank authentication such as 3D Secure. We assess unauthorised-charge claims against these records and give them to the bank if a chargeback is raised.
8. Earlier purchases
Plan payments made before October 14, 2026 stay under the terms in force when they were made.
