Domain broker service and buyer matching for sellers and buyers
A domain broker represents one side of a domain sale: finding buyers for a seller's name, or finding and negotiating a name for a buyer. Domaining combines buyer matching of wanted requests on Pro and above, broker-managed outbound campaigns on Portfolio and a dedicated broker on Enterprise, with every deal closed through escrow.
What does the domain broker service include on each plan?
Brokerage builds on the marketplace. Every plan can list and sell names, and higher plans add matching and broker work.
| Plan | Buyer matching | Broker work | Escrow |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | no | no | included on every sale |
| Pro | wanted requests matched to your listed names | no | included on every sale |
| Portfolio | yes | 3 broker-managed outbound campaigns per month | included on every sale |
| Enterprise | yes | dedicated broker and acquisition desk | included on every sale |
Start with your listed names
List names on the domain marketplace and buyer matching starts working on Pro and above.
How does a premium domain broker help a seller?
Most names do not sell by waiting. An outbound campaign starts with one name you choose: the broker defines who is likely to use it, prepares the approach, contacts those companies and handles replies and negotiation. Each campaign has a status in your workspace, and any agreed price moves into domain escrow.
| Campaign status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Requested | You chose the name and the target price range |
| Preparing | The broker builds the list of likely buyers and the approach |
| Outreach | Buyers are being contacted |
| Negotiating | A buyer replied and terms are being discussed |
| In escrow | A price is agreed and the sale is settling |
| Closed | The campaign ended, with or without a sale |
Portfolio includes 3 broker-managed outbound campaigns per month. There is no commission on the sale: brokerage is part of the plan. Brokerage is a service, not a promise of a sale: the outcome depends on the name, the price and the buyers.
Can a buyer post a wanted request?
Yes. A buyer describes the name they need: keywords, extension, maximum length and budget. Wanted requests are matched against listed names, and sellers on Pro and above whose names fit are notified and can reply with a price or an invitation to make an offer. Buyers do not need a subscription to post a request or to buy a listed name.
- Describe the name, not a specific domain, and receive matches
- Or name a specific domain you want to acquire
- Every purchase settles through escrow
What does the Enterprise acquisition desk do?
Enterprise teams get a dedicated broker who works on both sides: acquiring names the company needs, including names held by others, and selling names from the company portfolio. The acquisition desk works alongside your own backorder rules that find domains that are expiring and your watchlists, with a custom SLA, roles and an audit log. See domain portfolio management for how seats and approvals work.
What does brokerage cost?
Brokerage is part of the plan, with no commission on sales. Portfolio costs $499 per month, or $249 per month billed yearly ($2,988 per year), and includes 3 broker-managed outbound campaigns per month. Enterprise, with a dedicated broker and acquisition desk, is priced through Talk to sales. The buyer pays the agreed price of the name through escrow. Full details are on the domaining pricing page.
Questions about domain brokerage
Do you guarantee that my name sells?
No. A broker improves the reach and handling of a sale, but the result depends on the name, the price and whether a buyer needs it. Every campaign status is visible, so you see exactly what was done.
Is there a commission on brokered sales?
No. Brokerage, escrow and listings are part of the plan. The buyer pays the agreed price of the name, and the seller receives it after the transfer is confirmed.
Which plan includes outbound broker campaigns?
Portfolio includes 3 broker-managed outbound campaigns per month. Enterprise adds a dedicated broker and acquisition desk.
Can I use a broker to buy a name that is not for sale?
On Enterprise, the acquisition desk approaches the current holder on your behalf. On any plan, buyers can post a wanted request describing the name they need.
Put your best names in front of buyers
List them, let matching bring wanted requests to you, and add broker campaigns when a name deserves outbound work.
